Amed on the Coast of Bali.
If you can imagine the topography of Bali resembling a fish, Amed would be on the top of the fish's nose.  This quiet fishing village is a favorite diving destination on Bali.  I saw small resorts and home stays for very good prices.  I asked if they had air-conditioning
and was told yes - 'open the window'...

I was told this is the only night club in Amed
and can get quite raucous at night.
Stage for live music complete with sand box dance pit, dining, full bar and pool table.  Wasn't able to stay on this day trip but hopefully I will be back to try the diving and the night life.
Wawa Wewe Beach Restaurant - we ate next door... Fresh food was excellent.  Both restaurants shared beach front ocean views while you dine.
Local children selling ocean salt - I got 3 bags in woven containers for 30,000 Rupiah - about $3 USD.  I couldn't say no...  But I did negotiate...
Collecting Shells on the dark volcanic sand beach of Amed.
Part of Amed's large fishing fleet.  More and more these same boats are being used for the growing local SCUBA industry.
