Tirtagangga Water Palace
Fountain of Youth
Tirtagangga Water Palace is northeast of Candi Desa on the road to Amed. We stopped in while returning from scuba diving in Amed. We walked through in about 45 minutes but you could certainly stay much longer it was very beautiful. You may swim in some of the pools - the holy spring waters are said to have healing and youth giving powers. There is also a hotel and restaurant - see below - apparently you could even get married here.

Rangda and Barong statues
A Rangda is a Balinese Witch and is best to be avoided, they can put black magic on a person. On the right is a Barong which is a benevolent spirit and very lucky. |
